Investor Advisory

Investor Advisory and Analytics is an advisory function within Rothschild & Co’s Global Advisory business, which examines large sets of capital markets data via quantitative analytical techniques to understand behaviours of institutional investors. From this, and coupled with longstanding and direct relationship with investors, we provide actionable advice to our clients.

The purpose of the role is to support senior team members of the Investor Advisory and Global Advisory department in the preparation, execution and delivery of Market Advisory service and support the ongoing development of this business function. This role reports to the Co-Heads of Investor Advisory and will require extensive interactions will all levels of investment bankers across the bank and, in time, external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Author structured and ad-hoc reports by analysing global capital markets, identifying trends and recommending actions
  • Provide differentiated advice focusing on shareholder behaviour through activist situations, equity capital market transactions and M&A transactions
  • Support senior team members of the department in the preparation, execution, and delivery of the Market Advisory service. This will involve engagement with all levels of investment bankers in the Investor Advisory, M&A and Equity Advisory teams worldwide
  • Understand investment trends in ESG and collaborate with members of the team to formulate marketing materials and support execution of advisory mandates
  • Support the wider team in coordinating the transaction process both internally and alongside other advisors
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintain personal networks, participating in professional organisations

Education

  • Degree (or equivalent) from a leading institution; 2.1 or above

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Demonstrated aptitude in analysing information through quantitative methods
  • Keen interest in global capital markets and market dynamics
  • Conceptual understanding of equity portfolio management
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills, both written and interpersonal
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Sophisticated PowerPoint charting skills
  • Aptitude for ongoing personal and professional development
  • Additional language skills (particularly French and German) would be desirable, but are not considered essential
