Overview of the role

Our M&A Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Advisory off-cycle internship in Milan is a 6-month programme aimed at enthusiastic students in their penultimate / last year of university with outstanding academic background and great interest for a career in Investment Banking. You will have the unique opportunity to work side by side with high calibre and experienced professionals and to learn about the Investment Banking industry by getting involved in the origination and execution of the most prominent Italian and cross-border transactions in the FIG space.

 

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of company profiles/teasers
  • Support in detailed valuation analysis
  • Market and industry analysis
  • Support in preparation of pitch-books, management presentations and other discussion materials for use in M&A transactions or strategic client dialogue
  • Support in due diligence phase on on-going M&A transactions
  • Keeping abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics

 

 

Qualifications, experience and competencies required

  • Genuine interest in corporate finance and in the financial institutions sector (i.e. banking, insurance, asset management, payments, fintech, credit servicing, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Good computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Diligent and committed to excellence
  • Attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ambitious and capable of delivering results while working under tight deadlines
  • Italian native speaker
  • Fluency in English
